(The Machado Brothers pictured with their Uncle Carlos Gracie Sr. and Helio Gracie - founders of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu)
For over 40 years The Machado Brothers have been dedicated to the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu .
Nephews to the founder of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, late master Carlos Gracie Sr., the Machado brothers learned from an early age the martial art that eventually exploded all over the world. The Machado’s had the honor to learn from the founder late Carlos Gracie Sr. and several of their cousins from the Gracie family. In addition to the nuances of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu the Machado’s also incorporated into their teaching the philosophy preached by late master Carlos Gracie Sr, one of humility and service, illustrated by the motto “LEAVE YOUR EGO AT THE DOOR”. Each brother has accomplished remarkable success in their own right, both as competitors and instructors, winning national, pan-american, ADCC submission wrestling world championship and world titles, and occasionally venturing in the entertainment world (with multiple appearances on TV shows and motion pictures). They have been portrayed on hundreds of covers of martial arts magazines and throughout popular online magazines, jiu jitsu documentaries and podcasts. Besides the media coverage, the brothers have also published instructional DVD series, Books, TV documentaries, comic books, etc.
The Machado Brothers believe the practice Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu has the ultimate goal of providing students with a tool to improve themselves as individuals, and adopt a healthier and more balanced lifestyle. This is the first and most important lesson we have learned from Carlos Gracie Sr., and that is the one we strive to pass on to our students for decades to come.
WE DON’T JUST TEACH THE MARTIAL ARTS…WE CHANGE LIVES!
